Collymore – Rafa must go!
The ex-Liverpool star Stan Collymore has spoken out what quite a few fans must be thinking after this weekends result. He thinks that the players don’t want to play for Benitez any more and the Spaniard should leave for the good of the club.
Collymore said in his column in the Mirror: “Perhaps Liverpool’s latest dire defeat at lowly Portsmouth will finally convince fans that Rafa Benitez is NOT the right man to lead the club.”
“And I am beginning to think Benitez has lost the dressing-room at Anfield, which could be the final straw for the Spaniard.”
“I’ve been writing in this column for over a year now that Rafa must go if Liverpool are ever to win the Premier League.”
“Rafa’s bizarre tactical decisions, poor signings and failure to buy adequate cover in key positions, were the reasons why I’ve stuck to my guns and taken no little abuse from some Liverpool fans.”
“However, if your motto is still ‘In Rafa we trust’ after reading this, you really are living in cloud cuckoo-land.”
“I heard earlier this year that key players at Liverpool do not totally trust in Rafa’s decision-making.”
“And I think the latest abject performance at Portsmouth probably shows that Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Jamie Carragher no longer want to play for this manager.”
“I played for Martin O’Neill, all too briefly at Leicester, and I would have run through a brick wall for the bloke.”
“But I didn’t see that in Stevie G and Co at Portsmouth, which is why Rafa simply must go – ASAP.”
“Benitez will, of course, no doubt wait while sitting on the £20-odd million in his contract but ,if he really does love the club, he will walk and let Guus Hiddink or Jose Mourinho take charge.”

well as a fan of LFC, im really in dark, i dont know which foult is it ”injury players or Raffa Benitez”
first of all the biggest error is buying Aquilani for 20 mil.
i have nothing against Aquilani, i like hiim and his game, but he’s a kind of player who is always injured…
why not to buy some english players…Like A. Lennon, or A.Young? as for me all what we need now is a right winger…
if im in Raffa’s place, the first thing ill do is -SELLING DIRK KUYT- maybe many will not agree with me, but kuyt is only hardworker…nothing else…he try to play football but for me he’snt a player who’s got the capacity to play on a team like is Liverpool. when the ball is on his foot he looks like he’s afraid from the ball and want to give it to someone else…for me thats not a player…
Lets talk about our 18mil our right back Glen Johnosn.
i like him and his runs, but for the first time i saw Martin Kelly against Lyon in CL…he was just man of the match…so if we have a talnted young players why dont u give them chance? Martin Kelly is just the right man for that position…so Raffa if we have quality young players why u give 18mil to Glen Johnson?
my opinion is: go and buy Lennon and Young…they are the players we need.
Hope to get better!!!

LIVERPOOL 4 LIFE!!!
Who hired this dope who pissed his career away to criticize one of the hardest working managers in the game?
I agree with collymore rafa must go and the players are giving a massage that most of the supports are not nociting it. We won the champions league with rafa so what how we won it with a miracle and how about the league we at 8th place 2 more loses and we will be around 15th. oh rafa we hate you
I agree. Rafa needs to leave. oh think about what he could have bought for the Johnson and Aquilani and rest of alonso money. he could have brought in a superstar a player to ease the burden that Stevie and Torres have to lift every day. or at least look at all the players Rafa has brought in. as i see it only Torres can be seen as a real succes.

I have just listened to Talksport. Mark Saggers asked Stan Collymore: “Liverpool – where has it all gone wrong?” and the first three words out of Stans’ mouth…”I don’t know!”
Yes, i agree rafa has to go..players that must follow his departure : babel, voronin, kgryiakos, kuyt, dossena, el zhar
Love to see world class player come in but may be hard and the lack of money buy liverpool..so just go for chamakh or dzeko or soldado from getafe or defoe or milevyski from dinamo kiev to playing beside torres..get a winger like di maria, lennon if spurs can let him go with a reasonable price or young. I’ve also heard that barca want to swap mascherano for 20m plus yaya toure and bojan..even barca just give 10m plus yaya toure and bojan i think that liverpool must accept the offer..yaya toure also have the ability to defend well like masch but masch do not have the attacking ability that yaya toure can do..get bojan for free? what a jackpot. he can turn into a world class player..manager
manager??
bring in guus or martin o’neil
o’neil is a good manager he managed to lead aston well without torres gerrard masch johnson reina and carra..i think his tactical abiltity and motivating lead to villa success
Not only Rafa has to go but also the owners. I wonder what it would be like now had the Arab consortium become the owner last time. Liverpool FC need a complete overhaul. Glen, Jamie, Lucas, Kuyt, Voronin, Babel, El Zhar, …they are all no longer fit to wear the red jersey. And I absolutely agree with Stan that Rafa must leave if he really loves the club. Please leave and all LFC fans will respect you. We will then welcome Jose or Guus or even King Kenny to take charge.
some people say the problem is with the 2 owners.I see that they`re a small part of the problem. Our current players seem to have lost spirit ..and for this I accuse Rafa of having lost control..is it a coincidence that Stevie,Torres,Carra,Agger,Masch,Kuyt and Benayoun are all below par this season, despite what they did in last season`s success, considering that the American owners were there?!! SURELY the problem is with Rafa and hence he should leave..This great club deserves far more than this..Happy new year for all Liverpool fans..
