David Ngog joins Liverpool injury list

The Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez must be cursing his luck lately as his injury list is beginning to resemble a day at the Arsenal training ground!

The latest addition is David Ngog, who has apparently had his nose broken after a clash with a team-mate while training with the French U21 side.

Ngog has been given a few chances in the Liverpool first team this season, and has scored a cracker against Man Utd in Liverpool’s only win in their last eight games.

He is now doubtful for the France U21 game against Slovenia on Wednesday, but hopefully he should be able to play for Liverpool with a mask when he comes back next week.

Ngog was mooted as one of the best young prospects in France when he arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2008, and the 20 year-old has started to prove his worth this season with three goals from seven appearances for the Reds.
