News, Views and comment about Liverpool FC

The Leeds United manager Simon Grayson had a very busy day yesterday as the deadline approached for emergency signing.

First of all he secured the Liverpool goalkeeper David Martin as cover for the injured Shane Higgs. Martin had a succesful loan period at Leicester last season.

Grayson then signed the Cardiff defender Tony Capaldi, who has been out-of-favour this season but is a Northern Ireland international.

His third signing is the young winger Hogan Ephraim from QPR, who has signed until Jan 1st. The 21 year-old has only made two starts for the Hoops this season, so will be looking forward to some regular football.

Grayson also sent two players out. Alan Sheehan has joined Swindon for the next six weeks, while the South African striker David Somma has joined Chesterfield for the same period.
