Liverpool secure massive £80m sponsorship deal
Liverpool Football Club have secured one of the largest shirt sponsorship deals of all time by agreeing an £80m deal with London-based international bank Standard Chartered.
The previous agreement with Carlsberg is set to finish this summer, after the Brewery Giant decided to end its 17-year association with the club.
Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow said on the official Liverpool website: “The sponsorship opportunity attracted a huge level of interest from a wide array of globally recognised brands,”
“It is a real sign of the progress we have made at Liverpool that we have been able to secure the largest ever commercial deal in our history.”
Hopefully Benitez will get his hands on some of that £80m to spend on some top-class players next summer!
