Moyes stupid or just a bad loser you decide
Everton manager David Moyes is perfectly within his rights to defend his players and not publicly critisize them but that does not mean he should display stupidity and bad sportsmanship in public.
Speaking after the game yesterday this is what Moyes said
“There have been a lot of derbies quite similar to what we have seen here,”
“Merseyside derbies are not run of the mill games, sometimes there is a bit extra and I think we saw that.
“What did I think about Kyrgiakos’s red card? It was a two-footed tackle, both feet were off the ground. Fellaini’s gone to have an x-ray.
“I didn’t see the incident surrounding Pienaar’s sending off at the time. I’ve seen it since on the tape and he can’t have much argument about it.
“We certainly didn’t deserve to lose. We might not have done enough to win it but we didn’t deserve to lose it.”
You got to love the way he has Wengers eyes and only see’s the other sides misdemeanors, fact his Fellaini was just as bad if not worse than Kyrgiakos and if Kyrgiakos got sent off so should have Fellaini.
Also they didn’t deserve to lose?
Has he forgotten for a significant part of the game we were down to 10 men and that it was with 10 men that not only did we beat them but if truth be told were the better team.
But whatever, we won, they lost and he can gripe all he wants, won’t change any of the facts.

Moyes also said “i don’t think they done enough to create a win”, when clearly they did – they put the ball in the back of the net! They scored one more than you! Definitely stupid.

Be fair, Moyes admitted that his own player, Steven Pienaar, should’ve been sent off. As a Liverpool fan, I wish our manager would occasionally demonstrate the same honesty and fairness after games. His myopic press conferences are making us a laughing stock and it’s time he learned from the likes of Moyes, Zola and McCarthey.

Jumping two footed into a tackle is a red card, no matter what else happens, even if you miss by a yard, it doesn’t matter. Benitez’s failure to say that is the difference between Liverpool and Everton football clubs and long may it continue. As for Fellaini, he stayed on his feet in the 50-50, once you see a player jump into you two footed we’ll see what happens. He didn’t even stamp down on Kyrgiakos, if he had there would have been real damage. Kyrgiakos’ tackle was as bad as a tackle can be, including the fact that he fell somewhere short of where he was aiming for. This is how he got his shin underneath Fellaini’s studs, which weren’t even that high, and as I say, not brought down with any force at all.
