Reina could be signing on for another FIVE years
Jose Reina’s contract negotiations are moving along quite nicely and in fact the word is that the contract extension could be as long as five years.
Reina has been with us for over four years now and has proven that he is one of the better goalkeepers in the Premiership and if we do manage to extend his contract by such a time then it will create significant stability at the back, especially for the defenders.
Benitez is fairly confident that the deal will be signed shortly saying
“We have had a conversation with his agent and we know his idea, he knows our idea, and conversations will continue,”
“I think it will be easy to finalise and have an agreement.”
This week the news is just getting better by the day and with some luck it seems that all the rubbish we have had to put up with, injuries, last minute goals etc are all behind us.
