Howard Webb must have thought he was refereeing Tottenham yesterday when he refused to award at least free kick when Cesc Fabregas clearly handled the ball in the dying minutes of yesterdays game.

Webb is simply hated by Tottenham fans, whenever he is in charge of their games they immediately put that game down as a loss and with good justification.

Now it seems that Webb has turned his biased refereeing skills on us.

Webb is suppose to be a top class referee and yet the amount of mistakes that he makes just makes you wonder how poor his colleagues if he is considered the best referee in England.

What makes this all the worse is that he actually told our players that if they lift their hands above their heads in a wall they will concede a penalty as Stevie Gerrard explains

“The referee told the Liverpool wall in the first half that if anyone raises their arms above their waist he was going to give a penalty,”

“So for some crazy reason he didn’t give it. He told me after the game he hadn’t seen it.

“It was unbelievable and I can’t believe he didn’t see someone raise their hands in the wall.

“We know over the course of a season sometimes you will get decisions and sometimes you won’t, but something so clear as that was hard to take, especially with the referee being Howard Webb.

“I would say he is one of the best referees in the league so I am very surprised he didn’t see it.”

Gerrard was being diplomatic at the end and we are not constrained by the FA and their fines so we will say what Gerrard really wanted to say,

The referee is useless, he is either very blind or biased as there is no excuse for failing to see a clear hand ball.
